Sanskriti - Rural Culture Preservation Program

We promote customs, traditions, rural cultural activities like games, dances, drama ,folksongs and other activities which involve rural people.We believe this is the Nation which gave rich heritage to the world. Culture is caught between modernization and rural traditional way of life. We identify the young rural talent in any form and facilitate them to excel.

SEVA's Sanskriti program is aimed at preserving the great Indian traditions in the rural areas.

Free Health screening camp for cattle There was a health camp conducted for rural cattle. The local farmers were not aware of the diseases and other health issues for the cattle they are rearing. With the help of local veterinary surgeons SEVA arranged for a massive health camp. The response for this camp was overwhelming and about 500 cattle were diagnosed under this program. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanthi It was a great honour and privilege for SEVA team to organise these celebrations of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Many young people participated in the celebrations and hailed the contributions of the great leader. Many a people spoke about the 'idealism and the spirit of sacrifice of Netaji for the cause of the nation' and 'His extraordinary courage as the Supreme Commander of the Indian National Army'. Kanuma Fire Sankranthi is one of the most colorful and popular festivals celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm, zest, galore and fun with family and friends, all over India.
Kanumu is primarily a festival for farmers. On this day, the farmers decorate their cattle and treat them with deep respect as a show of their appreciation in helping them harvest the crop. There is Puja, involving Parikrama around the fire and distribution of Prasad. SEVA volunteers organised this event and the program was appreciated by the people. The expanded efforts and discipline shown by the SEVA team was commended by local elderly individuals.The best decorated cow's owner was awarded with a cash prize.

Annual Muggula (Rangoli) Competition SEVA has organised the competition for rangoli,Rangoli patterns are colourful designs created in celebration. In rural areas this is an exemplary form of art which is not being encouraged to the fullest. SEVA organises this annual competition to bring the best amongs the rural female participants.This event is a unique opportunity to bring the art to life, and celebrate with the traditional Indian art.
